Bio:
Mr Simon Moten is a senior Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Melbourne, Australia, with over 20 years of experience in adult cardiothoracic surgery. He has a special interest in interest in minimally invasive mitral and aortic valve surgery, robotic and videoscopic cardiac surgery and sutureless aortic valve replacement.
After completing his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Adelaide, Simon completed his specialty cardiothoracic training in Melbourne, obtaining his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2004. He completed his post-graduate studies at East Carolina University, USA, and holds an International Fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Cardiac Surgery fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Cardiac Surgery under the guidance of Dr Randolph Chitwood III.
He is a Master Proctor for Perceval Sutureless Aortic Valve implantation with proctoring and implant experience world-wide including USA, Italy, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand.
Simon is an active member of the Australian and New Zealand Cardiothoracic Society, the International Society of Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery, and the European Society of Cardiothoracic Surgeons.
